This striking timepiece from U-Boat’s Capsoil Doppiotempo collection combines cutting-edge design with innovative functionality. The 55mm black DLC-coated steel case houses a deep black dial, which features a unique oil-immersed design, complete with a visible air bubble that moves around, amplifying the dial’s color and legibility. The superimposed layers are secured with 4 screws beneath a scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal, bordered by an internal bi-directional rotating 12-hour scale bezel. The dial features black and luminescent baton-style hands, with Arabic numerals at 4, 8, and 12 o’clock and indices treated with beige Super-LumiNova® for enhanced visibility. A second timezone hand can be synchronized with the rotating bezel, offering a dual-time function in hourly and half-hour intervals. This “Destro” model features dual lefty screw-down crowns, one to set the time and the other to adjust the dual-time function. The watch is fitted with a black leather strap, accented with beige stitching, and secured by a matching black DLC-coated steel buckle. For added versatility, it also comes with an interchangeable black rubber strap.
